These terms apply when you use DiceCritic. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• Keep access to your email account secure, since sign-in links are sent there. You're responsible for activity on your DiceCritic account.
• Choose a handle and display name that don't impersonate another person or company.

What you post

You keep ownership of your reviews, notes and other things you write. By posting them, you give DiceCritic a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, copy and share them on DiceCritic and in promoting DiceCritic (for example, quoting a review on our social media). This license ends when you delete the content, except where it has already been shared or is needed for backups for a limited time.

Please don't post anything that:

• is hateful, harassing, threatening or sexually explicit;
• shares someone else's private information;
• copies someone else's writing, images or other work without permission;
• is spam, advertising, or fake reviews, including reviews of your own games written to look independent;
• breaks the law.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Reviews and ratings are members' own opinions, not DiceCritic's.

The game catalog

Game details start from Wikidata and are improved by members. When you add a game or suggest an edit, you agree that the facts you submit (titles, player counts, play times, designers and the like) can be used, changed and shared freely as part of the catalog, and you confirm you aren't copying descriptions or other text you don't have the right to share. Moderators review submissions and may change or decline them.

Images and copyright

Game photos are credited on each game's page. If you own something shown on DiceCritic and want it removed, or believe something infringes your copyright, email info@dicecritic.com with a link to the page, what you own, and how to reach you. We'll review it and remove infringing material promptly.

Using the site fairly

Don't try to break, overload or get around the site's security, access other people's accounts, or collect data from the site in bulk with automated tools without our permission.

Ending your account

You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing info@dicecritic.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

No guarantees

DiceCritic is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise that game details are correct or that the site will always be online. To the fullest extent the law allows, DiceCritic isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to $100.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell members about significant changes before they take effect. If you keep using DiceCritic after that, you accept the new terms.
